A Toastmasters club is required to have twenty members to stay in good standing. This one has been below that line more than once and above it by a factor of three.
The two ends of the range are worth sitting with. In 2011–12 the club finished the year with ten members, having started it with twenty-one. Five years later it finished with fifty-nine. Same club, same room, same Tuesday.
What did not change through any of it is that the meetings kept happening. The club programme record shows nine of ten goals met the year straight after the club fell to ten members.
