AboutShenzhen Toastmasters Club
Shenzhen Toastmasters Club (SZTM) was established in autumn of 2003 by Eva Lee who just came back from study aboard. Eve got to Toastmasters International by her friends in Hongkong and decided to bring this fabulous idea to Shenzhen and set up Shenzhen Toastmasters Club. This is how Toastmasters International started in Shenzhen. Until today SZTM went through 16 years, she had hard time when she didn’t have enough members to host a regular meeting, she also had glary time when she had over 70 members. A lot of brilliant Toastmasters learned from SZTM and shared their skills to others by creating new clubs, such as Eric Liang, founder of CBD club, Jack founder of Ship Toastmasters club.
As a club of Toastmasters International SZTM provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. As the first Toastmasters club in Shenzhen SZTM opens her gate to all interested parties, no matter you’re a freshman of public speech or an experienced toastmaster. We provide professional coaching and training to support you to be a better speaker and leader. Our mission/ vision is to lead your first step of Toastmasters International journey.
深圳头马俱乐部的历史
深圳头马俱乐部成立于 2003 年的秋天，创始人是刚结束海外留学归来的 Eva Lee，Eva 在香港的朋友圈中接触到了头马的世界，并决定将它带来深圳，于是创立了深圳第一家头马国际演讲俱乐部– 深圳头马俱乐部。深圳头马俱乐部从 2003 年至今，经历了 16 个年头的风吹雨打，繁荣过也落寞过，经历过会员人数凑不齐一个会议的时代，也创造过会员人数超过 70 的历史。不少优秀的头马人，从深圳头马俱乐部走出去，为深圳创造更多的俱乐部，比如 CBD 的创始人 Eric, Ship Toastmaster 的创始人 Jack.
作为头马国际的一员，深圳头马致力于向其会员提供积极的学习经验，帮助和支持其会员发展其沟通技巧和领导能力，并获得自信和实现个人成长。作为深圳市的第一家头马俱乐部，深圳头马向所有社会人士敞开大门，无论你是毫无演讲经验的新人，还是玩遍头马圈的“老马”。我们提供专业的培训，支持我们的会员成为更好的演讲者和领导者。我们的愿景是，带领你迈出在国际头马演讲生涯的第一步。

Story of Shenzhen Toastmasters Club LOGO
The latest logo of SZTM is the second version of our logo, was created in 2015 by Mavis, the wife of our member Seaborne (VPPR). The idea of this logo was “Shenzhen Toastmasters Club, the leading horse of Toastmasters International in Shenzhen, the first fire of the bright light of Toastmasters International in Shenzhen.”
But different people see different versions from this logo. What do you see from it?
Carol Ban (ACB, ALB): I see horse I see Shenzhen I see passion I see age (first club in Shenzhen)
Lilian Zeng (CC): I see a torch and wish SZTM will be better and glary as fire.
Sunny Wang Lian (CC, CL): I see landmark buildings in Shenzhen but without Pingan Building which means we have long history.
Michael Liu: (ACB, CL): I see a big flying bird with passional fire on her head
Lily Ding (IP2): perfect combine of Toastmasters international and SZTM!
Sarah He (DTM): great!
Fish Liu (CC, DI1): SZTM, a club with Shenzhen speed
April Luo (CC, IP3): very Shenzhen very toastmasters very special, must be created by a professional designer! This is a logo with soul, I will think about toastmasters in Shenzhen as long as I see this logo. As the first club in Shenzhen this logo is very typical. 2003 is a big year, when I see the year of the logo I feel like a teenage girl. We are 16 years old now!
Louis Liu (ACB): I see a horse I see a person, carrying buildings in Shenzhen. I think it’s a fighter of Shenzhen.
Ariel Wang (IP2): I see a horse running in the big city, building his dream with people who has same goal.

深圳头马俱乐部图腾的故事
目前在使用的深圳头马俱乐部的图腾是目前为止的第二版，于 2015 年为当时公关副主席 Seaborne 的妻子 Mavis 设计。该图腾的创意是：深圳头马俱乐部，深圳地区头马国际演讲协会的领头马，深圳地区头马国际演讲协会的火种，点亮整个深圳！
有趣的是，不同的人在这个图腾上看到了不一样的头马愿景，你看到的是什么呢？

Lilian Zeng (CC): 上面的火炬形状，就是希望 SZTM 越走越火，越走越好.
Sunny Wang Lian (CC, CL): 你可以看到马后面是有京基一百大厦地王大厦.. 因为是 15 年之前设计的所有上面没有现在的平安大厦.
Michael Liu (ACB, CL): 我个人更愿意看成是一头飞行的大鸟 气势凌厉头部还燃烧激情和火焰
Lily Ding (IP2): 头马和 SZTM 的结合完美！
Sarah He (DTM): 挺好的！
Fish Liu (CC, DI1): 深圳头马，一个有着深圳速度的俱乐部
April Luo (CC, IP3): 很深圳，很头马，很有特色，一看就是专业人士操刀设计滴！
这是一个有灵魂的 LOGO，看到就会想起深圳的头马，作为深圳第一家，标志很 SZTM！
2003 年是个特别的日子，放大 logo 就会想起，我们已经 16 岁啦！开心！是个少女的年纪，超级开心！

Ariel Wang (IP2): 如同一匹骏马, 驰骋在深圳这个大城市, 与志同道合的人, 一起构建梦想
Winnie Zhao (MS1): 在我眼里 SZTM 这个大家庭有着深厚积淀，事情井然有序，但是每个 SZTM 们活力四射，热情饱满。大面积的黑色呈现出稳重风格，
Eric Liang (founder of CBD Club):建筑物是深圳的标志性建筑，黑色部分是马头的样子和 SZTM 的字样，寓意深圳头马始建于 2003 年。
