Two strong club gathered together, presenting a grand banquet, this Tuesday evening Rro & SZTM had a thrilling joint speech meeting.
We had three fabulous masters Tingting Wang, Balita and David to host different parts. Also there were 3 diligent facilitators to guarantee the meeting quality.
01 warm-up session
At the beginning, we had warm-up session, a young handsome fellow played guitar and sang passionate songs, which brought us to the youth times.
02 table topic
David Lin brought us table topic session with topic “Summer Vacation”. The titles were random, 5 speakers went to the stage to deliver a impromptu speech in 2 minutes. They shared the interesting things happened in summer vacation, meanwhile displayed their skills of speech, applaud for their courage and thrilling performance.
03 Prepared speech
Four speakers presented their prepared speeches.
The first one was Vivian Liu, she shared “deliberate practise”. These are four steps of “deliberate practise”: 1. find your goal 2. focus on your goal 3. get feed back. 4. go out of the comfortable zone. It can not only applied on speeches, but also can used on daily life.
The second one was Nancy Wang, her title was “The story with students”. She share us how she change her teaching methods and her students changed to like study. We learned that think from the other side, things will be different.
The third one was Zoe Zhang, her title was “ Where is my speech”. To prepare a speech, she had many worries. It is hard to plan for the change. To give a speech need not only well preparation, but also courage.
The fourth speaker was Jessica Luo. Her title was “ Lipstick - Brighten my life”. She share us her growth in wearing lipsticks. From blind confident to take more consideration to others and finally to self love. Small lipstick brightened her life.
04 evaluation session
We also had evaluators to give feedback to the speakers and the whole meeting, feedback likes a mirror, which makes us improve more quickly.
05 Voting
At end, we voted the best roles. They were best master David, best speaker Jessica, best table topic speaker Eric Liu, best evaluator Jeff Wu. Congratulations to all of them, you really brought us a thrilling meeting.
