A record, not a brochure
Open the home page and the first thing below the club’s name is the most recent meeting: who spoke, on what, who ran the evening, and a photograph. What the club is and how to join come later, on About and Visit.
That order was set before anything else was built:

In English: this should be ground the club keeps for itself, showing the meetings and not much else. Remembering what happened, for ourselves, comes first.
Three aims
- Everything is a record, outings included. An outing sits in the meeting stream by its date, marked but not separated.
- Every meeting says what happened: the speeches, the roles, and the photographs worth keeping.
- A home the club owns. The club’s Douban site was deleted some time after 2021, and three sections of its writing went with it. Before that, the first website went when Google closed classic Sites. This one runs on a domain the club controls, from files the club can move.
What each tab is for

History holds what was found. Moments holds what was chosen. That is why they are two tabs.
By the numbers
The site has 813 pages. 609 of them are numbered meetings, and the earliest is from 2008. These numbers are counted from the pages each time the site is built.
