Officer Election

The 1001st meeting was SZTM’s officer election for the term Dec 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026. The quorum requirement was 12 members present; that number was met exactly, with Becky signing up as the twelfth member on the morning of the meeting. Seven officers were elected: Jason as President, Christy as VPE, Becky as VPM, Camellia as VPPR, Kristin as Secretary, Tao as Treasurer, and Anna as SAA.

Congratulations rolled in from fellow Toastmasters clubs: “PRO 俱乐部/KG 俱乐部/H3 小区发来贺电，庆祝 SZTM 俱乐部换届成功.”

Jason’s Presidency

Brent’s first reaction: “又要紧密团结在 Jason 周围了.” Jason responded that evening with a message to the club: “感谢所有会员的付出 …有幸带领新老官员 努力为每次会议提供高质量服务 只要你来 我们都在！！” Min added: “感谢 Jason 在 SZTM 最需要的时候 always say yes.”

After the Vote

A celebration dinner (“下半场”) followed the election. The next day, Tao confirmed the treasury handover from Anna, then joked about finally landing the Treasurer role: “太不容易了，你知道这一刻我等了多久嘛？20 年加入依赖一直梦想着这一天。”

Tao also shared thoughts on club direction: speeches should remain the foundation. Members should aim for one speech per month, VPE’s team should give actionable feedback, and David’s coaching camp was a model worth building on. “Speech 永远是一个俱乐部最底层的东西，这个做好了，其他的自然而来就来了。”
