Meeting #1010

Truth or Dare

DateTuesday, 27 January 2026
Word of the dayEphemeral

The theme, spelled correctly

The poster went out reading “True or Dare,” which the group noticed. The correction came with a shrug and an explanation of the actual theme: “it’s Truth, haha, drink a bit more tonight and you’ll get it.” The WeChat group name kept the typo all week. The agenda, for the record, says Truth or Dare.

Prepared speeches

Jason gave a speech titled simply “If…” and refused to say more in advance (“you’ll have to guess the content~”). Camellia spoke on making peace with work (Pathway 1.3), and Mayme shared what she has learned about learning English.

The Word of the Day was “ephemeral” — anything short-lived.

Behind the scenes

The room changed to 306 at the last minute, announced four times in the group as people arrived. Twenty agendas got printed that afternoon. And the evening’s host was not the originally scheduled one: the member down for TME withdrew mid-afternoon (“change of plan, I’m exhausted, I can’t host anymore”), a replacement volunteered within fifteen minutes, and the first one moved to On-Camera Master instead.
