Cancelled — the Lunar New Year gap

This meeting was scheduled and then called off. The notice went out the evening before: “given that tomorrow is the first day back after the holiday and many members may not be back at work yet, tomorrow evening’s meeting is cancelled. Please pass the word along.”

The following Tuesday, 3 March, was the Lantern Festival, and the club paused again: “next Tuesday, March 3rd, is the Lantern Festival, a time for family reunions, so we’re pausing once more. See everyone on the 10th.” Meetings resumed on 10 March with the 1013th.

So the number 1012 belongs to an evening that never happened. The page exists to explain the gap rather than leave it unaccounted for. The club did meet during the New Year period, but around a dinner table instead: see the annual dinner on 10 February.
