Prepared speeches

Christy gave “What remains” (Pathway 3.2, persuasive speech). Rebecca followed with “How to win the heart of Money” (1.2), her second speech in as many weeks, delivered without slides. Her status report that afternoon: no slides ready, going in bare, still memorizing lines.

The evening’s Word of the Day was “discipline,” which suited a meeting about habits.

Afterwards someone tried to reconstruct Rebecca’s argument from memory in the group chat: if you love money, you should treasure it, so it feels you deserve to have it. Her reaction to being paraphrased back at herself was that the summary was spot on, and it had clarified her own logic for her.

A visitor who joined the members’ group that night said everyone had been amazing and she’d been thoroughly drawn in. On the pairing of the two speeches, she added that both topics that night had felt very high level, one on wealth and self-love, the other on uncertainty and self-acceptance, and she was left wanting more.

The meeting had moved to a new classroom, with a reminder posted minutes before the start that tonight’s meeting was in the new classroom, so nobody should walk into the wrong room.
