Spring festival is approaching! R u ready to celebrate it with your family? Now we have more and more holidays and festivals. During a whole year of busy working days, such holidays are really like twinkle stars, since we are all looking forward to next holiday and vacation, to relax, or celebrate it in a special way. What do these holidays mean to us? Do you know how the holidays comes from history or fairy, and, what is the ideal way to celebrate or spend the holidays?… Let’s enjoy the discussion about happy holidays!

Let us meet on the night of 06 Jan, 2009 and join in the topic! In this meeting, we will have 4 prepared speakers. Our active and passionate VPE, Sun Zhang will share his experience: What does Toastmasters mean? Our Mr. Humor, Koby Sa will take a serious topic: Chinese Economy in 2009. Our past president, game player and game designer, Robert Luo will deliver his speech: A Miserable marrage. Our kind and graceful lady, immediate past president, Jane LEE will show her speech: Your wish is my command. Let us expect their wonderful speeches! Relax your brain and explore this magic world!: )

Minute for Meeting on January 06, 2009 January 11, 2009 by Jasmin Zhai It is the first SZTM meeting in year 2009, we started almost on time. Emily gave us a very enthusiasm opening and it defined a high tone for the whole meeting. Apple done a very good job as the TME, her laughing face let every body felt very relax and cheerful in the meeting. Our new member - Sean was the timer of the meeting, he tried his best to record the time has been used for each roles and speakers, the time was controlled well. Another new member – Jimmy also done very well as the Ah-counter.

He explained the role of Ah-counter very clear and also provided a very detail Ah-counter report. Our Grammarian Laura brought the word of today - “Love” to us, this ward is mean to every one, especially at the beginning of the new year, give more love to person you love and those love you. Jessica, a charming lady I always admired hosted table topic section. She brought a small climax for the meeting, “Festival” – a exciting topic, it left many memories to us, no matter they are happy or not, festivals made our life more colorful.

Jessica is very creative, she prepared gifts for the table topic speaker and even arranged a debate section. We enjoyed in the table topic section. We have total 4 prepared speakers. Both Sun and Koby have done their 7th project. Sun prepared a lot for his speech and he dressed very formal. His speech gave us a clear picture that what benefits we can get from Toastmasters. Koby, a very experienced and humourous guy talked a very hot topic – Chinese Economy in year 2009. Robert’s speech – a Miserable Marriage taked a very serious problem we are facing.

People wished to get the advantage from the mingling of East-West on medical, but in fact, it lead to some sad results. Jane’s “Your wish is my commend” encouraged everybody think in a positive way. The efforts from our powerful and professional evaluators – Emily, Hettie, Tammy and Mark helped us to get improvement. Jasmin, she is writing the minute now started her first time to act as General Evaluators. Thanks for the contribution from every one and believe year 2009 is brilliant for all.
