490th Meeting

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

Summon Guan set a special Dumb Show as a warm-up game: our princesses (Cherry Zhang + Michelle Yang) brought us a vivid show in dancing & facial expression. And the thief (Michael Liu) showed us how to run away after stealing a diamond, very comical.

White horse prince Michael Chen took his first try as an Ah-counter, he made a good use of double meaning in his report: ‘King James, to reference our ah-king, James, and also the king of basketball James LeBron. ‘

Black horse prince Michael Liu finally took his favorite role - Timer, he tried to control every section in order to keep the meeting finish on time. Cherry mentioned why the handsome guys in our club are all wearing glasses? Is that because they have another pair of eyes to watch the girls? But our grammarian Zach Yang had different opinion: he thought it was because wearing glasses would keep you look attractive.

The modern topic ‘Fashion’ was given by our elegant and strong mother Michelle Ye.

James, Dylan, Nina, Yoki talked about their experience & views about fashion. Danielle said ‘If you give the woman right shoes, she can conquer the world.’ When taking the topic ‘fashion & age’, our hard-working Ryan said ‘Fashion should be in our heart. '

Our dancing lady Lily Zhou was so brave to challenge herself to do the TTE again. It was really not easy to be TTE, but she did a good job, and she got the shining points from speakers.

Nina Lin, a thoughtful girl, she talked about the diseases in our office. It was so amazing that she just prepared her speech today…afternoon.(that meant she only spent half day before finishing her speech).

Evaluator Cherry praised for Nina’s good topic, body language and impromptu speech skills. But she also reminded us not to learn from Nina for her hurried preparation, because it was a prepared speech. (Yes, madam!)

↑Louis Liu, always optimistic guy, who just completed his CC9 speech and set a good example for us. He felt more and more confident in public speaking on the stage. We’re all proud of you and looking forward to your CC10.

→Evaluator Danielle pointed out the nice title and good content & structure from Louis’s speech.

2 VIP guests Dylan and Cici had a 2mins introduction, what a distinct opportunity it is! Warmly welcome.

Candy Lei, our big boss, not only brought us the happiness as usual, but also forwarded the wonderful evaluation for the whole meeting. (We believe you will be the excellent leader in the coming future.)

Uncle Eric, our most supportive leader, delivered his best wishes by a garland to our new president Carol Ban.

At the end of meeting, our ex-president & changeable queen Cherry shared the experience about dream in Chengdu conference. Our new president & powerful queen Carol Ban also brought some good views from Chengdu conference, she emphasized the importance of body language & vocal variety during the speech, another important thing was to control your speech on time. Because you would be disqualified if overtime.
