Summer Vacation

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

Derek would like to cook for his parents during his summer vacation, for example MaPoDouFu, and he thought he cooked much better than the American restaurant.

He met a beautiful girl who became his client soon after the meeting. More surprisingly, they later committed to each other and now she is his wife.

She shared us a story about herself once she lose her temper, her happiness and even herself, she didn’t want to talk to anyone, but the sandbox helped her out of the shadow, and also taught her how to know, treat and accept herself.

“Ding, ding, ding”time for our fantastic class~~The first class was delivered by a shy but brave lady: Julie, she said she wanted to make it better than last time, so she prepared a PPT. Did the puzzles open your mind? It seemed our meeting was just like an English corner, but Carol said it was more than an English corner.

Table Topic

The second class was a table-topic class with the topic: Summer Vacation held by a proactive girl:Kimly. It was such a popular class that 10 people couldn’t wait to raise hand and shared their stories about summer vacation.

Derek would like to cook for his parents during his summer vacation, for example MaPoDouFu, and he thought he cooked much better than the American restaurant.

Yoki thought it was unhealthy to sleep three days at night. We need to keep the schedule with 8 hours’ sleep, 8 hours’ work.

Maxwell would like to travel rather than earning money to support his study. o he spent some money on the trip to enrich his personal experience.

The happiest thing in Atry’s summer vacation was the time when she knew her holiday was coming. It was time when she could do a lot of interesting activities including copying her homework.

Bob said he would not do exercise twice a week, but every day. It’s important for us to workout.

Nina liked reading, hanging out with friends and preparing her next semester to improve herself during her summer vacation.

Edwin spent his college summer vacation in traveling and discussing with his classmates.

Louis wanted to travel to the highest mountain like Mount Qomolangma. As a saying goes, walks thousands of miles, read thousands of books

Sean talked about his summer vacation when he spent his time on his major, which was beneficial for his future.

Amanda’s last summer vacation was about her travel in Xinjiang Yili, where she thought it was really beautiful place to visit.

As we know, to be a good sales, lady should be attractive, man should be handsome. Wilson shared his one day as a sales, making phone calls in the morning and visiting customers in the afternoon. Never give up is the top principle. He met a beautiful girl who became his client soon after the meeting. More surprisingly, they later committed to each other and now she is his wife.

Sand game actually is sand box game. It’s playing with sand, but not sand itself. She told us that sand box was not for fun, but for healing one’s heart. She shared us a story about herself once she lose her temper, her happiness and even herself, she didn’t want to talk to anyone, but the sandbox helped her out of the shadow, and also taught her how to know, treat and accept herself.

Sunny didn’t want to become a coward but she also didn’t know what she should do to improve her public speech ability. She mentioned about the first time she was invited to the SZTM, though hesitated for some while, she soon made a decision to confront this challenge and said “yes” to the first trial. She admired the shining star Vivi in our club. She believed that if you come to SZTM and you would find all things would get better. So say yes to SZTM.

Nick Gong: Adv 11.5《Accepting an Award》

As a senior member in our club, Nick was going to finish his Advance Communicator Brown. So he was recognized and awarded by Carol because of his persistence on the stage. Nick shared his 3 years’ experience from newbie in English to a professional speaker on the stage. His first impromptu was embarrassed with 2 minutes’ unnecessary words to finish his speech, which made him make a decision to start his journey in Toastmaster. But with the help from the member, ex-president Strong, Cherry, who pushed him to take the roles and do the speeches, Nick became the person that he wanted to be 3 years ago.
