Our Angel Candy was back to our club. She just encountered some difficulties and tried hard to fight with them. Our president Carol, on behalf of our club, presented the books with best wishes to Candy.

Nina was so brave to tell us the story about the breakup with her boyfriend. She felt really down at that period, but luckily she had family, friends and books what gave her courage to step out the shadow.

As a male, if you never go to night club, you’re not a man. Night life is not only for having fun but also having social connection.

Toastmaster is not only the place for learning, but also the place for relaxing.

Table Topic

Tonight our smart Demi brought us a very creative and special table topic – Pro or Con. There were four debates with 2 speakers discussing for one point. I just wanna tell those who couldn’t come to the meeting, ‘It was really a big regret to miss these wonderful debates.’ Don’t cry because I will report how drastic they are on the debate later. Each group had their style for the discussion. Let’s see what they are talking about.

❶ ·Square dance can make our life more enjoyable.

← Cherry -Pro I think it is good because everyone can join it, no matter the elder or child. It is also a good way for elders to contact with others. If they feel happy, and whole family will be happy too. Eric-Con→ It makes so much noise. There is also potential risk if so many people are dancing in the square. I don’t think square dance is good and we need quiet environment for learning and relaxing.

❷ ·It’s young people’s right to enjoy night life.

← Edwin-Pro As a male, if you never go to night club, you’re not a man. Night life is not only for having fun but also having social connection. Karry-Con→ Night life is wasting time and not good for our health. Other activities can be chosen instead of night life only.

❸ ·Cyber love is nothing when it comes to real life.

← Maxwell-Pro It is a good way to find a lover, especially for those who feel unconfident in their appearance. It gives you more times and chances to choose lover. Michael-Con→ We’re dating and falling in love in reality in our daily life. When many choices come to you together, it will make you feel no choice. We love the person because we have same experience and we’re encountering and facing with problem together in our real life.

❹·Losing weight should be encouraged.

← Michelle-Con It is a good way to find a lover, especially for those who feel unconfident in their appearance. It gives you more times and chances to choose lover. Carol-Con→ Losing weight is only needed for obesity, but not for those who are healthy. Different eras have difference values on beauty. In Tang Dynasty, being fat is the main stream; but now, being slim is the fashion. We should build a correct value on beauty, and being healthy will be the most beautiful.

Prepared Speech

‘I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky…’ With singing the song at the beginning.Maxwell told us about what his dreams were.

He dreamed of travelling all over the world, he dreamed of having his own enterprise and he dreamed of being an excellent public speaker.

Now he’s trying to get closer to his dreams.

When you felt upset, you should come to our club. Why?

Because we always had fun and happiness, and another important thing was we have an excellent photographer.

She always caught the happy and funny moment. Tonight, our black swan Ella shared us nine tips in composition while taking photos. (I have tried some tips and photos looked great.)

Everyone has some painful memories, someone choose to keep a secret but someone choose to share with others.

We got a special speech tonight – Michael’s Chinese speech <面子>. Now channel will be changed to Chinese.刘林波同学用生动的语言，娓娓道来他身边的几个小故事。他说：“装是一种社会形态，面子是一种社会追求。”人们因为面子而不断地伪装自己，人们伪装自己是因为内心傲慢，害怕冷落，渴望得到别人的关注和重视。他鼓励大家做个真实的人，解决办法可以是求真！务实！（欧耶！）
