518th Meeting

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

If I could be a superman, I would dream of super power to save the world. Haha~ Superman was the dream job~ BTW, after this meeting, Ivy became our official member, wish her dream on Toastmasters comes true soon.

Our friend who came another club (sorry for my bad memory~) Kreeti only came to China for five days but was a Toastmasters, is it amazing?

Hey guys, do you remember…What did happen in 518th meeting? Which part does you like the most?518th Meeting ReviewIn my view of Toastmasters, here people can make themselves a difference. Let me review with you who made difference at 518th meeting.

Believe me, these roles are quite important to enlighten the meeting and often create better meeting dynamics.

Have you thought about daydreaming? TTM Ella told us, “Daydreams are great, which drive us to a new world and lead us to a new life”. With her sparkle on this topic, six speakers chose different topic to start a short speech on daydreaming.

wow, it was fantabulous to witness the sweet lady Candy back to meeting. As always she did a wonderful on career and she won the best speaker. A big round of applause~ please~

The most important thing was she did a wonderful job to evaluate the table topic and achieved the award of BEST evaluator.)ThirdlyIt came to my favorite part –Prepared Speech and Individual Evaluation part.

In this section, these speakers always brought us NEW thoughts and views to solve problems or address pressing issues. Now what I wanted to highlight the best was speech fromCrystal Chen and Lila Liang.

Crystal shared an awesome speech to tell the story of Teochews (a dialect of 潮汕人).

In her speech, we could feel how proud she is to be a Teochew and the open minded thought of the new generation of Teochews. Are you proud of your hometown? I do too.

Lila told us a very encouraging speech “Failure teaches success”.

I loved the sentence she said, “Keep your dream alive, maybe one day it will come true”.

Another two speakersJimmy and David accomplished their CC3 and CC5 speech respectively.

After hearing their speech, I felt I was so lazy and coward to start my CC4 speech. Hahah~~ Chicken blood was injected and I should prepare from today. (maybe~)

Talking of evaluation part, all individual evaluators pointed out shining points of each speaker and gave them very helpful constructive suggestions for improvement.

In the endI have to say,: This was just one more perfect meeting for me”.
