Speech Marathon

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

A very touched moment was the scene that, when the stage of out meeting was too wet to walk, our beloved Uncle and Cherry tried to dry off the water on their own initiative.

our last Treasurer Penny Peng was coming back again and brought a lot of fruits to us…this meeting, she was a guest; but next meeting she will become a member again. We could feel her true love to SZTM.

Dear Distinguished Members and Guests,How are you doing in the past week? Definitely I wish you were doing very well.I hope you don’t have any plans for the coming Tuesday night (Nov 8th ) as I’d like you to invite you to spend it with us in SZTM. I knew the hint of a black sheep (害群之马), but poor as me, I couldn’t imagine of the story of a black dog. Please come and witness his speech.

If you are a fan of British accent, you can’t miss the 2nd speech from Zach Yang who will also present his CC4 speech and his title is . What do the invisible hands make influence on Zach? Are you curious? You know the way to release your curiousness, right?

Do you miss your university life? Do you think that’s an unforgettable memory? The 3rd speaker Sunny Wang is going to do CC6 speech and share her university life. Promise me, I can meet you there and listen a little bit about your university life.

As it’s known that personality plays an important role in our life, it shapes who we are and decide what we can do. The 4th speaker Dudu Tang is going to tell <Personality 123> in her CC7 speech. It’s a good chance to let us know more about Dudu’s and your personality.

We had a gorgeous meeting this Tuesday. Why? Because we had the word: gorgeous, which was provided by first-time professor—-Judy Guo. Indeed, this meeting was not only gorgeous but also meaningful. Just let me make a brief picture of the most impresssive sceneries in my mind to you.

Prepared SpeechEric Liu: I had a black dog

Had you ever thought about describing depression in a funny way? Sometimes we may feel depressed due to the complex chores we faces everyday, this kind of feeling makes us want to escape from the world.

Eric said this kind of feeling was just like a black dog followed after you. When you want to fight with it, you will find it was invincible. Little by little, you will become smaller and smaller, while the black dog will become bigger and bigger. However, don’t think it a shame. Once you accpet the existence of it, you will get along well with it one day. Recognize it, accept it, and then seek for help, finally you can overcome it. Zach Yang: The invisible hands

Have you ever had the feeling that you must follow some rules, but sometimes no one tell you that you must do it? I had. Not until Zach told us about the incisible hands did I realize there’s an inconspicuous strength that always control my life. Zach called it “the invisible hands”.

We can owe the invisible hands to different cultures, customs, choices, habits, and so on. Sometimes it lead us to behave well. Sometimes could lead to tragedy to some extent, like the shame of being a leftover. We need to recognize them, classify them, and take back control from them. Dudu Tang: Personality 123

I had take the test of DISC before, but I had no idea about the color personality test from LE JIA, which include RED, YELLOW, BLUE and GREEN, until Dudu told us about the colorful personality. And maybe some of you don’t know that each color has its animal——PEACOCK, OWL, EAGLE and PENQUIN. Dudu said, knowing our personality helps us to understand ourselves and others better. It teach us how to become a happier person and influence others better.

The other prepared speaker are Sunny Wang, Lila liang and Stephen Chen. Sunny shared her colorful university life with us. Lila encouraged us to embrace our imperfectness. Stephen found his missing spirit in SZTM. Congrats to all the speakers for achieving one more goal in Toastmaster.

Workshop

The coming section was Sarah He’s sharing about the Macau Conference. Sarah said she benefited a lot from the conference. And we benefited a lot from Sarah’s sharing. Through her speech, I got to understand why there’re so many miracles were made in Toastmaster, that’s because of practice. Practice made something impossible happened. As the path toward success won’t be very smooth. If you can’t bear the difficulties, you won’t have chance to enjoy the fruits. Quit or keep going? That’s all depends on you. When you choose to keep going, you may find the importance of rebooting your brain. Since life is like a circle, which is changing all the time. If you don’t update your knowledge, your brain, your resources etc., you may not benefit from the revolution. Remember always reinventing yourself in the age of disruption.

Dear Michelle Ye is going to leave Shenzhen due to her job and family. We will miss her a lot. Hope our dear sister have a happy life in Zhuhai.

The other was a happy event——our last Treasurer Penny Peng was coming back again and brought a lot of fruits to us. What’s more, this meeting, she was a guest; but next meeting she will become a member again. We could feel her true love to SZTM.

Welcome all the old members to come back again~
