544th Meeting

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

As the first meeting of 2017, I would like to wish you “Happy New Year". Let us talk about what happened in last meeting of SZTM.

Table Topic Section

The word of the day was amateur and the table topic was New Year resolutions. Grandpa Koby Sa held this section.

Uncle Eric shared his experience of his daughter to be stronger and stronger.

Candy Lei took her personal experience to remind us of the importance of health. She is an optimistic and strong girl.

Sunny talked about her wish, plan and New Year resolutions.

Our guest Ambel said she was shy, nervous but happy to be in SZTM and she wanted to keep coming to the meeting.

Joanna said she wanted to focus on work and see if she would fit the role.

Tiffany wanted to quit her job and run an airbnb business. Personally, I have been both an Airbnb host and guest. Her new year resolution has made me recall something interesting.

Hill’s New Year resolution is to spend more time with family.

Harry considered that actions speak louder than words.

Mills, a young boy who wants to go to U.S, said he wanted to practice his speaking and be more outgoing.

Prepared Speech

Selina did her CC1, she mentioned about her education background and her experience with Airbnb. It is rather a profound and meaningful speech.

Rex gave a speech on CC3, he basically addressed on communication skill, especially telling people your real mind.

David had a discussion on who should be responsible for misunderstanding. His speech was well prepared and wonderful.

Evaluation

Louise Liu was the table topic evaluator of the night. He was professional and serious.

Joanna, Candy Yang and Nina evaluated each individual speech respectively.

From all the perspectives, they are welcoming and generous.

Yoki made her second try on general evaluation. In a word, practice makes perfect and she received the award as the best evaluator of the night.

We had 13 guests in total that night, all of them are nice and friendly.

Overall, Eric Liu was the best master of the meeting; Tiffany was the best table topic speaker and Selina was the best prepared speaker.

Congratulations to all the prize-winners and we all had an amazing evening.

All we need to give credits to all other facilitators and participants of the meeting. They are all the shinning stars of SZTM.
