564th Meeting
A review of SZTM's 564th meeting on April 11, 2017. New members took on the timer, ah-counter, and grammarian roles, and four members gave prepared speeches: David's CC5 "No SMART, no achievement", Karry's "The Love and Life of Virgo", Ella Peng's "May All Your Wishes Come True", and Louis Liu's Adv5.2 "Win-win Negotiation". Guest speaker Celia Xu ran a workshop on delivering impromptu speeches.
The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:
A Virgo husband will prepare perfect journey plans which make you enjoy the trip without any worry. And a Virgo husband is reliable since he will do anything perfectly and you don’t need to check the things done by him.

Apr 11th meeting was really wonderful, we invited the well-known player Celia to do a workshop and there were four prepared speeches. OK, let me show you one by one.
Warm up
Warm-up game is always funny, interesting and exciting, sometimes it also tests your memory and knowledge. Last night’s was just that kind of game: every participant had to repeat the words said by last participant and add one more new word which initially followed the last word.
And the nice master Sharon prepared gifts for the winner team.
Three essential facilitators: timer, ah-counter and grammarian were taken by new members.
They were very serious about these roles which can help them know about the meeting rules and make a good preparation for a good start.

Do you know what does SMART means?
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-based. We often have many goals or dreams, but it is impossible to achieve all goals at the same time, if you are SMART, you can achieve one by one.
2 Karry-CC6The Love and Life of Virgo
In Karry’s speech she told us how her Virgo husband pursued perfect things in life. He always requests everyone to have a good habit and requests everything to be done perfectly. Sometimes these requests are disagreeable.
But coins have two sides. A Virgo husband will prepare perfect journey plans which make you enjoy the trip without any worry. And a Virgo husband is reliable since he will do anything perfectly and you don’t need to check the things done by him. So marry with a Virgo person is a good choice.
But I shall say marrying with you is the best choice for him since you are a considerate girl and can understand Virgo personality.
3 Ella Peng-CC6May All Your Wishes Come True
All of us have wishes and everyone wants his wishes to come true. But how to make them come true? Firstly make ourselves believe we can and keep a positive mindset. If you doubt yourself, it is impossible to make it come true.
4 Louis Liu-Adv 5.2Win-win Negotiation
This is an advanced project of speech. In Louis’ speech, he taught us some principles of negotiation with your boss for promotion and rising salary. Win-win negotiation could help us have a successful negotiation.

How to conduct an impressiveimpromptu speech

Celia’s workshop is frankly full of “干货”. She told us many key points for an impressive impromptu speech: know about your audiences, share your own stories and show your difference
Not only her confidence and power on the stage but also her attitude and mindset to life impressed us a lot. She used her own travel story to show us her difference and charm.

EvaluationSection
The individual evaluation session was also amazing because all of them are our top-notch members: Cherry, Uncle, Koby and Selina. Finally Koby win the best with his experience and humor.
The big boss—General Evaluator is our new member: Eva Chen. She came up with a creative idea for Grammarian, which was proved to be very effective before. Surprising evaluation.
