572nd Meeting

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

If I’m making a cake and it fails, it becomes a pudding.

We all know our Ban Da Ren(班大人，Carol Ban) is a strong, frank and confident girl. She has ever played basketball in school team. All that was cultivated by her mother who was a good basketball player as well.

A warm up game, or I should say it was a mini table topic starting our meeting. Two pairs of members debated the saying –“Man is strong and woman is flexible”.

During the time of growing up we were influenced by many people. Some changed our values, some helped us be confident and some encouraged us to be successful. Then who had mostly influenced you? Let’s listen to their story…

Nina said her traditional and hardworking mum helped her shape diligent personality. Wenzel said Toastmaster’s fellows were the guys who influenced him mostly. Yes, Toastmasters will give you confidence and chance to practice. You can see everyone’s shinning points.

Sean achieved the goal of entering a university after encouraged by a kind teacher. Eva was beat by a teacher, however she got a big progress under her strict doctrine. No matter which way was adopted by the teacher, Sean and Eva were influenced by their teachers and completed their study successfully.

Our positive Cherry shared three stories with her father. Her optimistic personality was formed under her father’s influence. Her father can always see the things from good aspect. That recalled me what an old man said “If I’m making a cake and it fails, it becomes a pudding.”

This is 2nd time David delivered his CC1. We can find David has a great progress since hejoined SZTM last year. Now he is very confident and natural with a strong voice when he stands on the stage.

2 Eva Chen-CC4-P/PC Balance

Once again Eva brought us a creative and profound speech. P means products such as a golden egg, PC means producing capability such as a goose’s capacity to lay golden eggs. In this fast-paced world, many people rush only for success(i.e.Products)and forget true success lies in P/PC balance: to keep the goose to produce the golden eggs continuously. Hence we shall make a good balance between P and PC on three aspects: physical, financial and human factors.

Talia shared two stories about how she solved the problems and customer service representative actually contribute more than their job responsibility.

4 Selina Yuen-CC5-Materal Love

I can’t agree more about what Selina said maternal love was like air we live in, without it we will be suffocated.
