WARM UP

“Left~ rightup down~” What’s this? Is it a new style of dance or stretch break during busy working day? It’s a warm up game called ‘Opposite Side’, you must do the opposite action when you get the command from the lovely warmer - Sharon. In order to beat the witches in the upcoming Halloween, eight warriors showed up and foughtagainst Sharon’s magic spell. At last, our heroine Lilian won thebattle and gained the key to the black forest… a pack of snack

Are you still immersed in the fun of thatgame? Let’s review the 594th regular meeting of SZTM club held on 24th October, 2017. After helping 21 members and 6 guests complete the registration, our new member, Wilson Liao(Sergeant At Arms) introduced the meeting rules to all the audiences. After wards, the sunshine girl Scarlett He hosted the meeting as TME (Toastmaster of the Evening). As the queen of overusing time at last meeting, Sunny Wang was assigned as the timer that night. Samantha was the ah-counter and Jane Yang was the grammarian respectively

‘Which word makes you feel anxious?’ ‘Why do peoplefeel anxious?’…Although topic is ANXIETY, our TTM, pretty Chaoshan’s girl Zoe Zhang showed us how to demonstrate anxiety in a different way. With her creative slides, 8 persons had been inspired to the stage, shared their stories and released pressure. Nathan Zhang, Mr. Never Anxious chose the word ‘Public Speech’ to complain his tiny, cute uniform. Wilson Liao told us how to schedule your career at different ‘Age’. Lovely lady Sharon Wu, powerful president Eva Chen, fitting women Sunny Wang shared their thoughts about ‘Why do people feel anxious?’ Guests Tailoi and Rita, and member Jane Yang also provided the advices to the audience ‘How to live with the anxiety?’ What a surprise, everyone even enjoyed to be anxious to make others happy, the atmosphere of the meeting reached the top of the mountain.

PREPARED SPEECH

Afterwards the well-organized part was coming. Nathan Zhang delivered his CC3 speech ‘One for all, and all for one.’ As a big brother of this club, he suggested the audience to give rather than get with a sincere heart.

Allen Peng’s CC6 speech - ‘How voice change people’s mind’ which was just named at the beginning of the meeting, what a genius! He also informed Eva and Sharon, ‘We are family!’

David King used two examples showing us ‘Who misunderstands whom’. The speech was so humorous and vivid that we all forgot the time except for the timer. My majesty, please be the timer next meeting since you were already the king of overusingtime.

On behalf of the “richest” person in our club, the charming treasurer Elly Zhengdelivered her CC9 speech ‘The Responsibility of Treasurer’. With the detailed instruction for the operation of finance and professional skills of persuading, she won the first place of prepared speech that night.

GUEST SHARING TIME

‘Please warmly welcome our guests!’ With the kindly invitation by Sandy Zhang, all 6 guests came to the stage and introduced themselves, Suna, Cathy, Sunny, Vivian, Rita and Tailoi. WOW, more and more people wanted to attend our meeting to share their stories. Please don’thesitate to talk confidently in front of others, it is never too late.

EVALUATION

During evaluation session, Danielle Ouyang, Eva Chen, MichelleYang, Carol Ban, Terry Mathebulaand LilianZeng respectively gave thetable topic evaluation, individual evaluations and general evaluation. Their considerate comments let all the speakers knew how to improve themselves step by step. Excellent!
