602nd Meeting

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

He went abroad a few years ago and figured out that he couldn’t follow foreigners’ conversation, even though the subtitle from the local TV version. At that moment, David doubted himself and it looked like he never learn English before.

Image you were an actor or actress, you play roles in different situations, use your body language and emotional expressions to catch all the audiences’ sight. I guess that feeling must be awesome.

Table Topic

Our big guy Carol Ban, master of this improve table topic, she named the topic, ‘get the chair’.

The rule of the game, which needed two persons to create the scenery improve, one person was sitting on the chair, another one needed to do his/her efforts to let the sitting one get off the chair.

BetweenSophie and Samantha, Sophie was sitting on the chair. Samantha, that one to get the chair. Samantha announced that she was the stuff on the train, she wanted Sophie to got off the chair, and she said there were something wrong with the chair, but Sophie was confirmed that she didn’t want to get off the chair.

Finally, Samantha gave up, failed to get the chair.

As for Vivian, she is quite clever. When Sophie was sitting on the chair, she played a trick on Sophie, dropped off her phone on ground intentionally, told Sophie it was hers. Then Sophie replied it was Vivian’s. At the same time, all the audiences couldn’t help laughing.

At last, when Vivian said that she got a stomachache, Sophie got off the chair immediately.

Now it was Vivian’s turn to sitting on the chair, Allen pretended to a senior citizen, who asked Vivian to get off the chair straightly. Vivian replied, how old are you? Even though whenshe heard Allen said fire was coming, Vivian still didn’t move. There were a burst of laughter coming from audiences.

Turn to Allen was sitting on the chair. Sophie is that one to get the chair. At first, she asked Allen for WeChat number, but it was pity that Allen got a girlfriend, however, Sophie continued to invite him to go to movie, failed again, but she still didn’t give up, invited him and his girlfriend to watching a Disney movie, called《CoCo》. Finally she did it, got the chair.

Sandy and Koby, “My love, movie is starting to go on, why you still here?”

Sandy talked to Koby vividly, we all burst into laughter, Sandy was quite fun and clever.

The last actor-Nathanplayed a hardworking worker to talked to Vivian, he has to afford his family, including his life, his kids, and his parents. But Vivian refused it fiercely and didn’t get off the chair.

1 Who am I

Just like Vivian Liu said, I knew her, but I didn’t know her. She is a new member of SZTM, before she started to make her speech, she just took facilitator’s role. She treated assignment seriously, but nothing else.

According to her CC1 speech, we knew she is from Sichuan province, the hometown of panda, a gorgeous place full of green trees and mountains here and there. And we also knew why she likes outdoor activity so much!

She loves short hiking and running. In addition, go shopping is her favorite, especially hanging out with her boyfriend, but there was a little bit trouble on her, a Libra girl doesn’t know how to find her style.

Attracted by our fellows’ performance with native English, she decided to join SZTM with us. Our grandpa Koby evaluated her is a new star, rising up shiningly, and I do believe Vivian will meet her new challenge life and find her style. As saying goes, where there is way, there is a will.

2 How’s Technology affect our life？

Allen Peng made an example of how’s technology affect our life. One day, he was shocked by a wechat call from his father. His father asked him for connecting WIFI in a rush.

Allen said, he never knew his father would do this kind of things. Technology really change his father’s life, he know how to make a voice call with friends, and send lucky package to him, even like or comment his WeChat moment. His dad became talkative than before, that is good for him.

As we know, there are many entrainments app popular in our life. such as WeChat, Weibo, QQ, and Email. It really makes our life more and more convenient.

According to science data, 90% of people use them on working over 5 hours and chatting over 3 hours per day. We are addicted to using them, even can’t without them. Technology really makes an effect on our life.

I did have studied English.

David said he have studying English nearly 30 years. When he was at school, he thought he must be a good English speaker because he passed many exams and got some English certifications.

However, he was disappointed and sad about English. He went abroad a few years ago and figured out that he couldn’t follow foreigners’ conversation, even though the subtitle from the local TV version. At that moment, David doubted himself and it looked like he never learn English before.

Joining SZTM by coincidence, he said SZTM is a place where he can see the best himself, he can talk to people in English and make English speech. Last month, He went to Finland and England for business and talked with my foreigner clients fluently, then made a contract deal. David was so happy that it was really a big change for him.

We need to learn for him, live and learn！
