The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

Carol awarded a special honor to the Vivian on behalf of SZTM and we all congratulated this friendly and lovely girl.

Openning

The theme of tonight was “icebreaker”, which aimed to talk about unforgettable experiences for the first time. Because SZTM received an honor again, our present Sunny Wang shared the experience with the members and guests in the meeting.

From 2003 to 2018, the club of SZTM experienced many “first time”, including the first toastmaster club in Shenzhen, first club outing, first offical renewal, first honor, first dilemma and so on. Even if this was not the first honor that we got, we still all embrace an attitude of being a new speaker or facilitator to study hard and serve sincerely.

introduce meeting’s facilitators

Zoe Zhang was a humorous and funny master to introduce meeting’s facilitators in the 645th meeting.

The facilitator of Timer, Jane Liang, helped to control the meeting’s time and said an impressed and important sentence" time is so limited, please cherish time."

The facilitator of Ah-counter, Sunny Wang, who was an Ah-counter queen in the past, but now remaind us to advoid useless words in our speeches and talks.

The facilitor of grammarian, Vivan Liu, introduced a word of tonight " continual", she gave a meaningful example ”we need to have continual practice in English.”

Table TopicMASTER: Lily Ding

Lily Ding, who is a charming and elegant mother, introduced tonight’s table topic" the imagined or real experience of first time"

Lizhen shared the topic of " first time imagining the experience of 10 million RMB deposit “, he wanted to startup a supermarket, which was his dream, by using the 10 million RMB.

Edward shared the topic of “the first time speech on the stage “. He shared a mermarble experience that he overcame his nervous and anxiety on the stage of speech at the first time.

Max shared the topic of “the first hopeless time”. He said the most hopeless thing was unemployment, because the income was very important for him to support his family.

Nathan Zhang shared the topic of"the first time feeling time precious”. When he realized that he spent too much time in foucs on the education of his son and ignored the nature growth process of his son, he felt a little regret and wished time to be slowly.

Jeff shared the topic of “the first time arriving the moon”, he gave a smart connection between the feeling of aquiring a first job and reaching the moon.

Prepared Speech

Tonight’s meeting, three of the four prepared speakers were ice breakers, that means this time was their first English speech in the club of SZTM.

The first speaker Krystal Liu, shared the process of self-discovery. She shared two stories about herself, one was the experience of her first job in a diamond campany when she graduated from college. Another was a memorable and touched thing that happened in Beijing. From Shenzhen to Beijing, she discovered a better herself by jumping out of comfortable circle continually.

Different from Krystal, who was a south girl flowed to the north city, the next speaker Aimee Zhou was a northeast girl in south city. She shared the story of her college life in south region. The impressed thing was the difference between the north and south regions. It was very interesting because of the details about the differences, like the genneral cognition about the frigid climate in the north region, enjoying ice-cream in the winter, the north rice and so on. In the end, she invited us to visit her hometown-snow and ice kingdom with enthusiasm.

Another ice breaker was Mojo Zhang. She shared her story of becoming a brave girl. Mojo tolled us her experience of braces and job changing. She was a IT female employer in the men-dominated industry, but she still tried her best to engage in advanced IT skill and keep plucking up courage. From her speech, we felt the passion and vitality about herself

The last speaker Carol Ban was a experienced orator. She introduced a devoted member who has served other members in the club several years. Vivan Liu, our vice president membership in the club. Because of her effort, our club became the only club that renewal rate was more than 100% in Carol’s heart. Carol awarded a special honor to the Vivian on behalf of SZTM and we all congratulated this friendly and lovely girl.

Evaluation

session

Kobe uncle evaluated each speakers in the table topic session with humorous and philosophical comments. He always left us a enjoyable but deeply thinking words.( If you came to the meeting, you will feel deeply as same)

-Li Zhen was encouraged and touched by the content of Krystal’s speech

-Louis Liu encouraged Amie Zhou to pratice the session of table topic to improve the courage and fast-thinking in English speaking

-Doris Lou admired the brave of Mojo in her story, because she thought Mojo presented a lovely inside of herself with clarity.

-Nathan Zhan couldn’t praise Carol’s speech anymore. He gave Carol a useful advice that Carol could try formal speech like the government public statement.
