The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

Despite all the well-intended suggestions, she insisted on her own way.

After disappointing her parents once because she forgot her promise to visit her family during the golden week holiday, she realized that she needed to manage her life in a better way.

Eric quitted his well-paid job to pursue his love for psychology.

即兴演讲环节一直都是头马俱乐部的一个亮点，在规定的主题里可以有天马行空的想象，也可以有妙语连珠的笑话，更可以有跌宕起伏的故事。。。。。。小纸条已经准备好了！你敢举手吗？？

April： Imagine you would be the mayor of Shenzhen, what are the extraordinary ideas you have for 2019?

Mayer is also called city governor. All our daily lives, such as taking metro and bus for work, enjoying the light show, kids going to school, are related to the work of the mayor. Shenzhen just celebrated its 40 year birth last year. I think all of us, coming from all over China, can feel the vitality of Shenzhen. All of this fantastic services, opportunities, so on so forth, can be, to some extent, attributed to the mayor of Shenzhen. Today, we have the extraordinary you here. Everyone does good job. Maybe we have future mayor of Shenzhen here.

Zoe： Imagine you were a solider, what would you do?

War did happened before. However we, all of us here, are so lucky. We have never experienced war. Today I watched a BBC documentary about soldiers in WWI. Millions of young men signed up to fight against Germany. Many men have the dream of being hero. However, it’s difficult to imagine the brutality of wars unless one is there. Imagine you have to kill the man in front of you. He is as innocent as you are. He is just fighting for his country. May the world stay in peace.

Ariel ：Imagine you were an accountant.

Basically accountants work with money. I am also learning how to deal with money. When we start to manage money, we need to know how we spend our money, and how to save money. When I save enough money, would like to invest in an apartment. Will also help family members and friends for their investment.

Krystal：Imagine you were a correspondent

It is similar to journalist, which is related to my university study, media. After watching an inspiring film about journalists fighting for justices and truth, I decided to study it. I am kind of idealist. Slowly I realized that reality is far different from what I expected. Due to certain reason, I decided to work in other field.

My previous work was closely related to factory. I used to spend a lot of time in factory. I wanted everything to be perfect. Now I work with people. I realized it’s crazy to expect everyone to be perfect. I am crazy. No one is perfect. There is no need for production manager in our life. We are our own manager.

Louis ：Imagine you were a fisher

i Would like to teach you guys how to fish. If one wants to enjoy the moment of fishing, attitude is very important. Because it requires a lot of patience. Fishman is a conventional occupation with long history. Think it will not disappear.

Sunny Wang –《Choose》

Sunny vividly performed a short play in which she had a tough conversation with her manager. Her manager, as well her close friend, though she did not fit to sale job, because she is bit serious, her academic background does not fit to the position and most importantly it is uneasy for her to smile in front of strangers. Despite all the well-intended suggestions, she insisted on her own way. She is happy that she made 2 wise choices. She became a sales consultant in a language school. She became a member of SZTM. From SAA to club president, she tried all the roles and gained a lot from this extraordinary experience.

Vivian LiuMake a New Year’s Resolution

After disappointing her parents once because she forgot her promise to visit her family during the golden week holiday, she realized that she needed to manage her life in a better way. She currently works in a travel agency. Using her own example, she exemplified the methods of making new year resolution. The 5 steps in target management: set goals, break down the targets, make the plans, and carry out the plans, review and summary. Her 3 goals for 2019: to improve English, body building and keep energetic, improve writing ability. Following the methodology she proposed, she made a detailed and executable plan.

这一次工作坊，我们请到了颜值爆表、自带技能包的大神――Zoe Xie 。带来了主题为"Critical Tinking"（批判性思维方式）爱学习的朋友们，你们算是来着了。。。。

The workshop was conducted in a way similar to interview. Adrian, Sunny and Eric were interviewed by Zoe. All three guests sheared their motivation of joining TM and their journey with TM. After joined one activity of TM 3 years ago, the shy Eric found the atmosphere very supportive and encouraging. Sunny joined it in 2015 through introduction of a friend. Adrian quitted TM the first time he participated in an activity because of his shyness. He later became president for a university club. Communication and leadership skill is definitely required.

Job and salary: Adrian is working as an electrical engineer. He sees his career advancement and is planning for a MBA. Sunny works as course consultant in a language school and is looking forward to doubling her salary. Eric quitted his well-paid job to pursue his love for psychology.

Love and marriage: Eric dated several girls and was always looking for the perfect one. Now he is in a stable relationship with someone. Nevertheless he still feels pressure when talking about marriage.

Sunny joined SZTM expecting to find true love here. She is actively looking for a partner.

Adrian works a lot. He joked that work is his girlfriend. He has no specific expectation. He would love to have someone that both fit to each other. There is no perfect girl. But he believes in perfect fit.

The topic is about how to connect new star to different jobs. It requires all the speakers to imagine what they would do if they were the given role. Lizhen did very good transition between speakers.

April gave a very inspiring speech. Her spirit fits perfectly to Shenzhen.

Zoe described vividly a picture of solider on the battle field. She spoke so smooth from beginning to the end as if it was a prepared speech.

Ariel shared her idea of helping friends and family for financial planning and investment as an accountant. For table topic speech, there is no need for self-introduction, due to limited time granted.

Krystal explained why she studied journalism and why she gave it up after finishing study. Maybe she could talk a bit more about press freedom.

In addition to his well-polished language, vivid body movement, Eric’s speech is always full of emotion.

Louis may tell bit more about how to fish.

备稿演讲点评：

Sunny shared her personal story. It helps to connect with the audience. She did good job to pave the way.

Suggestions:

Face the audience instead of looking to the ground.

It’s nice to use quotation. It will help the audience to get the quota if there would be a short pause.
