Meeting #720

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

惊 喜来了呀 Surprise is coming

SZTM’s 720th meeting was a marvorous meeting！

We had new members speech marathon and a very wonderful workshop.

Firstly, SAA Grass introduced the rules, he was the first time to be SAA in SZTM, and he did sufficient preparation before the meeting, wrote a transcript.

Then，the new member speech marathon kicked off~~~~

Christy Wang -《I am Christy》

She told us a real her. She is a optimistic and serious lady, always try her best to do things. She wsa proud of her familly, her humorous husband and tow lovely boys. What a harmonious family it is!

Vivian Pan -《The Road to Self-salvation》

She drawded a picture of a pretty, lovely and positive girl.

She told us how she changed from a work machine into a team leader, and displayed her colorful life.

She loves travelling, and had been to many countries.

She is a great cooker, and can cook plenty of delicious food. Just like she said, ”only can you love yourself, then you can love others.”

Frank Zhou -《Trying is an Attitude》

The best story teller-Frank told us a story about his dating experience. He likes a girl and chased her, but was refused by her.

Although it was painful, but he went out of it, and told us“Life is wonderful, don’t be afraid of trying everything, the more you try, the better you will be.”

Leah Liu -《Baishizhou Demolition》

She lived at Baishizhou, the largest urban village in SZ and involved in the demoliton of Baishizhou.

Many families had to moved in 2 months, and students had to transfer to other schools, and many problems occured.

With the fall down of old buildings, many native residents became billionaires, meanwhile, many families have to leave their familiar homes.

Lingyun Guan -《Hello, it is Me》
She told us a unique gril.

Once she was shy but she try her best to change. She wanted to have good education, but gave up to support her family.

She insisted on her will to become a programmer, regardless of her parents’ objection.

She want to go along his own road, just like her words“ Life is short, never regret what you did.”

Treven Zhu -《Coronavirus Parasite》

Due to the coronavirus, our doctor Treven was very busy. he was at the first line of curing patients.

He ovserved the people who was infected, and told us the real story of them.

Life is precious, lets strenthen ourselves and overcome the diseases.

The second part was a high-qualited workshop brought by speech coach Jack Liu -.

In this part, firstly, he told us four basic points of the threshold to evaluaton:

Orderly logic; Language expression; Body language; Vocal variety.

Workshop

Then he lead us to watch a champion speech vedio and evaluate it after acording to the framework and keypoints.

In order to learn by pracising, our new member Alex Sun also delivered a live speech, and we evaluated him.

Alex’s speech was really full of chickenblood.

Jack taught us how to give positive evaluation and use NLP tips-Nonevilent commulicaiton, and eventually he told us the final purpose of evaluation is to help others grow and sincerity is better than tricks.

Last but not end

How time flied, after enjoying 6 awesome speeches and a high-level workshop, we learned a lot, on the road of toastermater, learning has no limit.

To help others grows, it is also the way to help yourself growth!

Thanks for Jack‘s amazing workshop！We all learn a lot of speaking skills tonight!

Dont just use it in TM, but also your life, your work! We can be a better communicator!
