SZTM's 731st meeting on 9 November 2020 was hosted by April Luo around the question of what people prioritize in life: making money or family. Three speakers took the stage, including newcomers Harry and Danny giving their icebreakers and Megan Luo speaking about her mentor Eric Liu, while Michael Liu's table topics asked members to weigh work, travel, family, and money against each other.

The club posted its own write-up that week. Some of what it said, in the words it used:

01 Warming up And Facilitators
Jeff Wu sang a English song, wrote by himself, and taught us a unique exercise-shake head which can get rid of headache.
Our new SAA Tao, a handsome father, introduced the rule and reminded us to wear the mask during the meeting(special rule). Then the meeting started.
Our past president Zoe Zhang held the hole meeting, she told the truth, offline meeting is the real meeting, because we cannot watch the script when speaking.
Sun. Alex evaluated the whole meeting and facilitators. he gave very concrete advises to the paticipitants, such as write down the guests’ names on the board and speak slowly and loudly. It was “old father” style evaluation, very useful.
the elegant Ah-counter Vivian Pan told us to pay attention to the additional words, timer Lingyun introduced the time rules, and Grammarian David introduced the new word “order”and his work. All of them did a fantastic work.
brother Lizhen held the gust sharing time. There were 11 guests joining our meeting, we could feel the learning enthusiasm on them, and we were eager to attract more and more guests to join toastermaster.
During the voting time, Running man Frank held the MOT part, there were many feeling to share, and our guest also went to the stage to share their feelings.
In order to test us and recall the meeting, lovely Chrissy held the Harkmaster time-Q&A time, it was funny and interesting.
02 Prepared Speech
The first one was our current president-April Luo, her title was “No Way”. April shared us her experience as VPE, a hard work. She asked her predecessors “Jessica, Jane, Sunny” why they choosed to become VPE, and they had different answers, but she had her own answer: to give, support and serve, just keep going ahead.“No way”told us“there is a will, there is a way”, the past experices build up current excellence. Now as president, it is sweet to recall the frustrated past, and they all deserve.
. Mr always Eric evaluated April’s speech. He used “A, B, C, D”to represent “appricate, big heart, connection, dig deeper”, awesome evaluation matches awesome speech. He not only comfirmed her good points, but also gave suggestions in a positive way.
The second speaker was our champion-Jeff Wu. His title was “Mission”. Jeff told us when we had mission, impossible will become I’m possible. he shared us a experience of training people, with the mission of help others, he and his mentees insisted for 7days and succeeded, nothing is impossilbe, it is up to our determination and action. At the end, Jeff showed his ambitions and mission: I plan to build up a business, to provide a lot of our job opportunities to people, to set a new business model to the world; to change and save a lot of people’s lives。Wish you success! Make impossilbe into I’m possilbe.
Wendy evaluated Jeff’s speech, how challengable it was! But Wendy did a good job. She evaluated according to he objectives in a order way, and also advised Jeff to name different characters more vivid.

Sunny Wang fang were the Table Topic Master. The topics were related to SZ summit conference.
Slim past president Joan was the first table topic speaker, her key word was “growth”, she told us her experice in the summit orgnizer team. As a member of director team, her growth was huge, became more stronge and confident.
The second speaker was Fish, his key word was “change”. As the master of Chinese speech contest, he had much to say. Before the conference, he once hesitated to buy a ticket, but he want to change, he competed for the meeting master, and witnessed the big event, as a MC, he spoke before the camera, and more than 1000 people looking at him, change happened to him, now he is very a star in Shenzhen toastermaster feild.
The third one was a guest Yannas. She was still a student in colledge, but she had dream, she want to become a doctor, which is a long road. To achieve her dream, she need to study many years, but she enjoys the process. She was so bold and confident at the stage that we forget she was a student.
The fouth speaker was Eric brother. His key word was “a moment”. He recalled two moments, the moment when he meet toastermaster and the moment he joined the speech contest. At the end, he encourageed us “take your moment and become yourself”. What a inspired speech it was.
The fifth speaker was Sunny Wang lian. Her topic was “a person”. She shared us a person influenced her-Katie Pan. Katie Pan pushed her to become the volunteer team leader, and Sunny learned from her to say “Yes”. During her TM period, Sunny always had the positive attitude to challenges. She served as SAA, VPM, VPE, and president, and now as VPPR, she is still on the way of making progress.
the taple topic evaluator Louis Liu evaluated every speaker, it was detailed and helpful, he not only picked out the shining aspects, but also gave specific suggestions to everyone.

After the Table topic speech,
Then we had a short break, it was our happy time. Thanks to our Treasurer Chrissy and David, we enjoyed delicious fruits and cakes. The cake was a cute rabbit, there was a sentence beside it,”retaining childlike innocence, all will be sweet”, it reminded us the child’s day. As toastermaster members, we are all teenagers, we are simple and keep the initial heart of learing and growing. During the short breaktime, we talked with each other and made new friends.
At the end, we got the result of best. best master: Zoe Zhang, best table topic speaker and best evaluator Eric Liu, best prepared speaker Jeff Wu, best facilitator –Grammarian David，congratulations to them.

The power of knowledge changes our life, it is never late to learn, you deserve it! If you has to choose, what is your priority? Makeing money or family life? We shared these deep thoughts meanwhile enjoying cakes and fruits, watching funny vedio last Tuesday, it was super fantastic.
April luo held the meeting, she was well prepared and asked every speakers about their priority in life, and her priority is making money, she is a rich lady, hahaha.
There were there speakers, two icebreakers and one experienced speaker. They were inspring
The first bird was Teacher Harry, it was his fist speech in SZTM. He shared us how he was changed by knowledge, we can feel his optimism and confidence of life, attractive personal stories and beautiful langues, his speech was very encouragous, and enjoyable.
The second speaker was Danny, his title was it is never too late to learn. late? how to define it? when you are 30, is it late? Two old man are competing fiecely to be the president in the USA now, Never say late. Danny told us the example of Zeng Guo Fang, Zeng used to be a scholar, but he learned to become a commander and won the rebellious army. Joining in Toastermater, it is a good way to learn.
The third one was Megan Luo, she presented her grateness to her mentor Eric Liu through her speech. You derve it! when she asked for advises from Eric, she got the reply. How lucky it is for Megan to have such a kind mentor, mentor is not only a coach, but also a close friend. Through her speech, we were impressed deeply by Eric’s “big brother smile.”
Louis Liu, Vivian Pan and Eric Liu gave evaluation to the speakers, for the icebeakers, encouragement were given. And it is very intereting that Eric introduced a “boyfriend”to Megan, he summarized the evaluation by “JACK”, it was funny and creative.
The table topic session was held by Michael Liu. He brought us gifts, warmly. And Fish, Annie, Tean, Eric, Sunny Wang, Tao went to share their topics about priority, work, travelling, family, and make money, the answers vary for different people, vary in different phases, even coming to toastermaster can be a priority for Fish, amazing.
Brother Lizhen evaluated the table topic session, he confirmed Michael’s innovative hosting style, and advised him to highlight the rules and word of the day, also he evaluated every speakers in detail and gave them improving suggestions.
Fish Liu gave general evaluation to the meeting, he suggested the evaluator to encourage icebreaker speakers more and more allocate the time averagely on the speakers, that is constructive.
During the break time, we had birthday party. VPM Vivian Pan made a creative and vedio to introduce every god of longevity, it was like a film, and they were stars in the film. Then we shared cakes and fruits together, it was a harmonious moment of SZTM family.
There were many guests joining our meeting, some of them just come to Shenzhen and searched our club, they regarded it a good place to learn and make friends.
Thanks to the diligent facilitators Timer Stella, Ah-counter Vivian Liu, Grammarian Eleven, and Hark master Annie, you guarenteed quality of the meeting.
At the end, we voted the best roles, they were best speaker Megan Luo, best table topic speaker Eric, best evaluator Vivian Pan, best facilitator Eleven, best master Michael Liu, conratulations to all of them, you deserve it!
