The 734Th meeting was a cherished meeting, SZTM’s founding president Jacky Chung(on 8th September,2003 ) and senior members Stong Zheng, Michael, Carol all came back to our meeting to have fun together. They witnessed SZTM’s long history.

When it came to 7:15 pm，SAA Vivian Pan annouced the meeting begin and introduced the meeting rules, she was elgant and the face of our club.

A high-level meeting has a professional master. Joan Zhang served as TME, Joan Zhang was flexible and warm, her introduction of the roles were apposite and comfortable, her humorous and cute hosting style made the meeting relaxed and full of laughter.

The meeting included three magor parts: prepared speech part, table topic speech part and one workshop.

The first prepared speaker was Louis Liu, his speech title was “A Simple mentor”. He shared the experiences of learning, he recalled two different mentors, one was harsh and strict, and the other was simple while focused. To be a good mentor was not easy, keeping simple, following rules, things would be simple.

Frank Zhou evaluated Louis’s speech. He noticed that Louis’s speech was very clear in structure and logic, he suggested him to have more eye contact with the audiences and have a better end.

The second speaker was Jeff, his title was “谁是我，我是谁？”. Jeff is a talented and ambitious man, he had made many achievements before, but he won’t stop to chase. He is a doctor and a writer now, in the future he want to be a successful entrepreneur.

David evaluated Jeff’s speech. He confirmed Jeff’s speech was inspired and awesome, he advised hime to pay attention to the small details and actions that could be distractions to audiences.

The second part was table topic speech part.“祖师爷”Strong Zheng held this part. He was absent for a long time, when he came, we were very glad to see him again, his special humor was very charming.

The topic was COVID-19. COVID-19 changed our life, and the titles were around the time during and after COVID-19, Carol, Jacky Chung, Jeff, Ron, Eric and JinMeng joined this part, all of them were professional, we called them old drivers. And Eric won the best speaker after fierce competition.

Big brother Lizhen evaluated table topic speech part. He firstly sumerized the whole part, and then evaluated the speakers indivdually, he advised the speakers to be more focused on the topic, and show personal examples.

The third part was a workshop brought by Adrian Wong, the title was “Selecting your topic”. What were the most Important things when selecting a topic? He thought they are audience, speaker’s life and interests and TM projects, we can connect them with our speech. He used a example of his exercise to demonstrate that. From his workshop, we learned the importance of our projects and we should finish them step by step. Next time it is not so hard to choose our speech topic again.

Eric Liu evaluated Adrian’s workshop. Eric used 6 “I” to evaluate Adrian’s speech, they were “ interaction, inspirational, interest, i 自己，i 身边的人，i 生活”. Eric’s evaluation was very clear and it was his routine by using letters to evaluate, old driver!

Then our three facilitators timer-Ree, Ah-counter-Tao Qi and Grammarian-Jane gave their reports, timer Ree controled the pace of meeting well, Ah-counter Tao helped us to reduce the unnecesary words, Grammarian Jane was very carefull, she picked out the mistakes and the good uses of grammar. All of them helped us to have a high qualified speeches and meeting.

Then Michael Liu delivered his general evaluation. His evaluation was interesting, he described Joan as a cute bird, Jane’s british accent was good listening materils, and Eric brother likes a father, he suggest Eric to have innovation in evaluation, direct and helpful, his evaluation was insighted and effective.

We also had a MOT part, this part was a summary and feeling sharing time of the whole meeting, Lingyun held it. SZTM’s first president Jacky Chung attended this meeting and he said he was verg glad to see so many enegetic and professional members. English coach Ron compared our meeting with Singapore’s TM meeting, and advised us to have a projector.

Next we had a Q&A part, called harkmater time. Vivian Liu held it, in this part she asked questions to us, we can recall and review the meeting, it was necessary for us to improve.

During the breaktime, we invited our guests to introduce them to all, the guests were speech lovers and their English level were very high, we could see the passion of learining on them. Welcome to come again.

Finally, we voted the bests. Vice education president Fish announced the result: best preprared speaker-Jeef, best table topic speaker and best evaluator-Eric, best facilitator-Jane, best master-Joan. Congratulations to all the best, you are stars.

After the meeting, it was still early in Shenzen, SZTM’s Foodies members continue to have BBQ together, the reuion time was very happy，admire you, I had to lose weight.
