A Zodiac-Themed Evening with a Special Workshop

Meeting 912 landed in the week of the Chinese New Year Annual Meeting, which meant lighter attendance and only two speaker slots filled. Edwin kicked off the speeches with “5 Plans,” exploring communication styles through his Presentation Mastery pathway. The real highlight, though, was Eleven’s 30-minute workshop on business communication.

Eleven’s Business Communication Workshop

Eleven volunteered to fill the empty speaker slots with a discussion-based workshop titled “Simulation for Business Communication - Surviving Year of 2023.” Drawing from a year where her company’s profits hit a record high, she led an interactive session on applying Toastmasters skills to real workplace scenarios. The workshop generated strong interest even before the meeting:

Behind the Scenes

New member Evan, serving as Grammarian for the first time, originally chose “Tradition” as the word of the day but swapped it to “Captivating” the night before, feeling the first choice was too easy. The meeting also doubled as a birthday celebration for Sampson, Eleven, and Brent.
