A full evening

Meeting 967 packed a lot into one night: two prepared speeches, a workshop by guest speaker Jae Yang, and a Table Topics session on the theme “Bath.” Perhaps too much for one evening. Technical issues delayed the start, and the meeting ran overtime. Poornima, who served as both Meeting Manager and a speaker, apologized afterward: “Thanks again to everyone who made today’s meeting a success. I am sorry it ran overtime and the technical issues at the start. Thanks for your patience and support! Hugs and sweet dreams.” Stella’s reply was swift: “you are the BEST meeting manager ever!”

Prepared speeches

Allison delivered “Listen to your inner voice,” her Level 1.2 project. One moment from her speech stuck with people: standing in front of the priority seating on the bus, thinking of a previous speech by Evan, and wondering whether she had enough energy to ask someone for the seat.

After the meeting

The overtime prompted a practical reminder: “Next time we really need to control the time and finish the meeting on time, we have to keep the long-term good relationship with the venue sponsor.” Toto also raised a broader concern: “Now I feel that there are fewer participants. Is it because the venue is too far away.”

The photos, at least, were a hit. “照片也太好看了吧！！！” Toto explained his secret: “今天我是用手机的人像模式拍的。”

Poornima’s stage presence left an impression. Toto suggested she could one day give a workshop on body language performance. Max shared a video of actress Huang Xiangli’s Yixi talk as study material: “我很喜欢的演员黄湘丽，在一席的演讲，可以当成 workshop 的学习材料。”
