A new home

Meeting 974 was a milestone: the club’s first session at Huarong Building, inside the New Oriental campus on Mintian Road, Futian. Vera made the connection, Edwin proposed the venue, and New Oriental offered it free of charge. The verdict from the group chat was unanimous: “场地大，空调好，大屏幕，独立空间，近洗手间，不用整理，专人打扫，就咱的预算来说物超所值，性价比很高！” One member summed it up in three words: “perfect and for free.” Another discovered the place was already familiar: “这个地方，我每周日都来，因为……我女儿在这里上课哈哈哈.”

Stella, who recorded guest videos and shared them in the group afterward, also left a note for next time: “对了下次布场可以把座位再往后挪一点，这样舞台上那个光不会打在脸上，拍照好看些.”

Prepared speeches

Three speakers took the stage. Becky doubled as Meeting Manager. Mayme prepared her speech with PPT slides. Maecenas delivered “Behavioral Logic and Social Role,” a talk that drew enough attention that a fellow member had lined up a guest evaluator beforehand: “给你找了个大神来点评.” After the meeting, one comment in the group captured the effect of the evening’s speeches: “终于讲清楚为什么父母亲要收儿女的钱了.”

Ivy ran the Table Topics session around the theme “Big Day.” After the meeting, she posted all seven questions in the group, inviting members who couldn’t attend to join the discussion online.
