Prepared speeches
Eureka’s “The Cage of KPI: Discipline and Punishment” hit hard. The next morning, someone in the group chat asked for the script: “你昨天的演讲稿特别赞,可以分享一下吗?内容有点多,现场有点囫囵吞枣.” Another admitted: “Eureka 昨天把我眼泪听出来了……” The speech asked a question that lingered: “我们在完成谁的 KPI 呢?意义在哪呢?”
Linna delivered “Transferring Communication Style Implies Growing Up” for Pathways Level 2, exploring how the way we talk changes as we mature. David stepped in at the last minute to give “Growing Up, not Growing Old” after the original third speaker had to pull out due to a sudden work trip the evening before. David used the slot to complete his own Level 2 project.
The night of three disappearances
The meeting had an unusual running theme: things kept vanishing. Timer Anna’s tracking sheet disappeared mid-meeting, prompting a frantic search that had the room in stitches: “她把我笑 Cry 啦,表格呢?表格呢……” Then the meeting banner briefly went missing too. Emma summed it up as “神奇三失,” declaring: “今晚很神奇.”
Edwin’s double duty
Edwin pulled double duty as both SAA and Table Topics Master. For the SAA segment, he turned the standard 3No rules introduction into a set of riddles, weaving the meeting rules into puzzle clues. The approach earned praise from several members: “嗯今天的 SAA 很不一样……包括介绍 3No.” “很喜欢 Edwin 一本正经的幽默风格.” “我很喜欢那个 4 种翻译的问题……把 saa 的会议规则介绍加入谜面.”
After the gavel
New member Camellia was formally inducted at this meeting. Over the previous four weeks, the club had also welcomed back returning members Mike and Min. As one member put it: “重逢和相遇,深圳头马值得~”
The post-meeting mood was warm. Sam’s Club snacks were a hit at the tea break (“这个巧克力好好吃”), and one member captured the evening’s feeling: “every time after the meeting I feel so happy and relaxed.” Another replied simply: “SZTM is our crush.”
