Before the meeting

Stella arrived early carrying chicken wings from her Georgia trip, prompting someone in the group chat to announce: “早到的有鸡翅吃.” Jason brought desserts to match, and the wishful thinking was immediate: “再配点冰冻的啤酒就好了.” Edwin dropped by with his child as a guest, later explaining: “今天本是路过,拉着孩子去体验下 SZTM,隆江猪脚饭嘛也是好的,毕竟是打工人利器啊.” Stella’s entrance with food was described as “圣诞老人端着礼物出现的感觉.”

Prepared speeches

Mike opened with “Simplify Cooking,” turning the kitchen into something closer to a lab. As the chat put it: “Mike made a scientific form for cooking!” Camellia delivered her ice breaker “My Three Words,” and the audience responded in kind, offering their own three words for her: “Positive,” “Curiosity,” “Friendly.” Min closed with “My Toastmasters Love Letter,” reflecting on her entire Pathways journey.

The meeting that impressed a guest

David’s General Evaluator feedback after the meeting captured the evening well: the prepared speakers had clearly done their homework, the evaluators stayed objective and professional without injecting personal judgment, and the facilitators came prepared for their roles. His takeaway: “Sufficient preparation and practice make a great meeting!”

Rain and all

The meeting ended to heavy rain outside. “It rains cat and dog outside,” Stella warned in the chat. But the food, the speeches, and a guest family dropping in made it a warm Tuesday evening at SZTM.
