Christy opened with “The dialogue within,” exploring different communication styles and how we talk to ourselves. One member reflected afterward: “Christy’s message is quite thought-provoking and inspirational. To be our own advocators in times of crisis is so essential to our wellbeing.”

Camellia followed with “Take it easy,” delivering what the room remembered as an effortlessly smooth performance. “@Camellia 昨晚的演讲真的好好，非常非常流畅，我现场经常都记不住，得拿稿,” one member wrote in the group chat. Another described her as having “a gentle, graceful” presence on stage.

Jason closed the speeches with “5%,” a birthday speech that surprised the room. “今日 Jason 的演讲文风变化很大，quite inspirational，可能又是长大一岁,” someone noted. The club celebrated his birthday with a cake after the meeting.

Table Topics: Have a Drink

Lori hosted a Table Topics session themed around drinks, and it turned out to be the highlight of the night. The drink-themed impromptu questions drew a crowd: “今天很多 guest 是被 table topic 吸引来的.” One guest who had signed up saying “英语小白 我就默默来观众” ended up calling the session “互动感很强.” The verdict from the President was clear: “这样的 table topic 请再来一打.”

Evaluations and milestones

Stella’s evaluation of Christy earned its own round of praise. “Stella 今天的 evaluation 经典,” the President wrote, adding: “我当时在想，原来 3 分钟可以说这么多信息的.” David called it “a classical one, evaluation contest champion level.”

The President also reminded everyone of a small but important ritual: “别忘了上台和下台，与 TME 握手。It is a good manner, it is also a signal of a beginning and an ending.”

The night marked a milestone for two members: Christy and Lori both completed their role grand slam, having now filled every type of role at the club.

The vibe

“今晚的氛围绝了好久没这么多人 这么开心热闹了,” Stella wrote after the meeting. Stella had brought cocktails for the occasion, and old faces returned too: “Zack 这匹黑马 好久不见.” For those who missed it, there was only one way to sum it up: “错过一个亿.”
