Typhoon night, online meeting

Typhoon Huajiasha forced SZTM to cancel the in-person meeting the day before. But cancelling was never really on the table. Brownie announced the backup plan: a Table Topic Marathon on Tencent Meeting. As Tao put it when sharing the meeting link: “come to SZTM online meeting while it is the end of the world outside (not yet.)”

With no prepared speeches on the agenda, the entire evening became an impromptu speaking workout. Camellia ran the first half on Sports, with slides that drew praise afterwards: “Beautiful table topic slides from Camellia.” Tao took over the second half with the Game theme. The format turned out to be a hit. As one member messaged during the meeting: “life is a kind of show. we may also call it a game…just play it.”

The spirit of showing up

What stuck with people was not any single answer but the fact that the meeting happened at all. The chat lit up afterwards:

“给坚持点个赞”

Brownie wrapped it up in the meeting group: “线上 Table topic 马拉松，欢迎大家下次来线下玩哈.” The verdict was clear: “感觉线上还挺好玩的，哈哈哈.”
