The 996 meeting

Meeting number 996 landed on a number that every office worker in China recognizes. The Meeting Manager leaned into it, declaring this the “#996 牛马专会来了” when the first agenda dropped. The Hark Master gift was a fitting touch: Lucky Cookies, hand-picked by Stella.

The original plan had three speeches, but Brent had to cancel his 18-to-20-minute long speech due to a last-minute business trip to Shanghai: “实在不好意思，刚接了个出差上海的活，周末走。。。下周二只有两个演讲，我都不知道怎么和你开口.” Jason volunteered to fill the gap, noting that “brent 和澳牛都不能辜负.”

Prepared speeches

Jason took the stage with “IG Nobel Prize,” sharing stories about the famously absurd-yet-thought-provoking awards. Before the meeting, he teased: “听懂有奖~.” David followed with “Lessons Learned from A Movie,” drawing life reflections from film.

Table Topics: I’d rather…

Eureka ran the Table Topics session around the theme “I’d rather…” asking members to choose between dilemmas. The format was a hit: “哈哈哈，好喜欢今天的 TT.”

Welcome, new member

During the meeting, Susie officially joined SZTM: “热烈欢迎 Susie join us 噢.” The previous week had also brought Kristin into the club after she attended a hiking event during Golden Week and came to her first in-person meeting at the 995th.

Behind the scenes, Stella put the agenda together while multitasking at her company’s training: “快快 我在一边培训一边摸鱼做 agenda.”
