2017 Spring Speech Contest Route Guidance

Someone said our location was very confusing. I also mistaked XingHua-Building(兴华大厦） and XingHua-Hotel（兴华宾馆）. So before the contest begin, I decided to make a guidance to help you to find the right place.

The exact location of our contest is the 4th floor of XingHua Hotel(兴华宾馆）. Next I will show you how to get to our “mysterious " contest field~

First is the traffic guidance from the map.

Then is an example to find the right place from Exit B of Science Museum Station~

It is a marvelous stage, isn’t it? Don’t hesitate to come and enjoy all the wonderful speeches~

Hi everybody, I believe you are looking forward to our contest review! What happened on Feb 25 afternoon? Why people who attended said it was a remarkable event? Don’t hurry, let me show you how marvelous this contest was.

Lynn Lei & Rex Zhou who were representing our club to host the contest. There were 10 brave and excellent contestants standing on the stage like shining stars, their wonderful speeches impressed audiences deeply. Let’s reminisce our contest one by one.

English speech contest

1. Candy Yang – A letter to young Candy

She is a smart girl, after these years working & life experience she has become a wise and elegant girl, she reviewed her past, wanted to share her feeling and advice to young generation. A very sincere and to touching speech.

2. Vivi Xie – My monkey students

This was a story about our goodness teacher of her first teaching experience, embarrassing and unforgettable and finally she taught all students easily. A skillful and professional teacher, as well as a public speaker. Looking forward to her great performance on this Sunday afternoon of Area contest.

3. Lila Liang – My shoe

Lila is our angel, every time we are inspired by her speech a lot, her positive attitude with persistence in learning English makes her always shining.

4. Carol Ban – So called talent

As an experienced contestant who joined last year Spring contest, her performance didn’t let us down. I won’t share more about her speech, pls come to witness how excellent she is on this Saturday afternoon of our area contest.

5. Louis Liu – My impressive teacher

Vivi shared her monkey students, while Louis wanted to share us a story of his impressive teacher. He is grateful to teachers who helped him be a great person. Louis, you did a very good speech, we witnessed your big progress along with our TM journey.

6. Wilson Li – My 10 years sales Jiongtu visiting

Wilson delivered this speech by a very humorous way as what he always does, all the audiences laughed a lot, but at the same time we were seriously encouraged by his powerful weapons of how to be a successful salesman, that was, always smile, keep humble, keep learning.

Table Topic Speech Contest

Our thoughtful and responsible contest chair Elly Zheng prepared 3 topics as per contest rules and gave to the first speaker who decided the topic on contest. “Slow”. A simple while not easy topic, the 4 speakers Vivi Xie, Carol Ban, Allen Peng & Louis Liu shared their thoughts.

In toaster master, table topic is the scariest and most exciting part, speakers love and scare it very much. It’s more difficult contest, you need to organize what you are going to say and control your time very well, even if you had delivered a wonderful speech, over using time, you would be disqualified.

So Vivi & Carol pls pay highly attention to this, looking forward to your wonderful speeches this Sunday afternoon (Mar 19, area contest).

中文演讲比赛

1. 唐金秋 – 东将军和西将军

打响第一炮的是我们的现任主席唐金秋。 看题目是不是有标题党的嫌疑？ 嘿嘿，原来她给大家带来的是家有二娃的调皮友爱两兄弟的趣事，浓浓的兄弟情和满满的母爱悄悄地植入到了观众的心里。主席大人抛砖引玉，更厉害的选手还在后面。

2. 陈瑞链 – 信任

叛逆小孩讨厌约束太多的妈妈，想冲破牢笼获得自由。成年以后越来越怀念妈妈的管束，感恩妈妈的不易和珍惜当下及时行孝的迫切心情打动了所有的观众和评委。

3. 曾嘉凌 – 年味

有钱没钱回家过年，这已是在外打拼的人每到过年时候的第一大事。 为了这一顿团年饭，盼望了一年的父母忙碌的张罗，仿佛凝聚了一年的想念和对来年整年的祝福。这顿饭让人不愿千山万水不辞辛劳。虽然年已走远，我们已回到各自工作岗位撸起袖子加油干，听完这个演讲我又想家了。
