An outing in the hottest week of the year

Saturday 29 July 2017, thirty-nine degrees. Everyone said that turning up in that heat could only be true love. The person who wrote it up disagreed: he had come for the snacks.

They met at Xiangmi metro station. More than thirty people in club-yellow shirts, and Eve started a dance on the concourse before they had even left, which brought the security guards over.

Then a walk that turned out to be much longer than anyone had planned for. They arrived to find no stage, one solitary tree, and not enough wind to move a leaf. The write-up records the collective heart sinking, and then the group sitting down, eating the snacks, deciding it was fine and starting the dancing again.

There were games — Pirate Captain and Counting Sevens — and then table topics, outdoors, with partners drawn by passing a flower around. The subject was finding the best in the person you had been paired with:

Didn’t the master consider the case that both of partners would annoy each other and there were only defects in both of them respectively? No problem! Just to blind your eyes and to imagine the good things about him.

Written up in both languages, side by side, the way the club did it that year.

搞事情，我只服深圳头马！7 月 29 日，我们终于等来了深圳头马的户外活动。 谁都说顶着 39 度的高温来参加我们的活动，一定是出于真爱，窃以为苟且不敢认同，我感觉我不过是为了零食来的，而且我的直觉预告我，当日必发生大件事。

For making big things, I only admire SZTM. On 29th July, SZTM’s outing came. All of people said that attending our activity at 39℃ high temperature must be for true love. Then I didn’t agree with this viewpoint since I felt that I participated just for snacks. Moreover I had a premonition there would be big things to happen.

别人笑我们太疯癫， 我笑他们太肤浅，疯癫就该无底线。从香蜜地铁站就开始热起来了。一群小黄蜂，本就是一道风景，陈慧慧的一通开场劲舞， 招来保安也是意料之中的事情。

Others laughed too much at our craziness; we wanted to tell them they were too superficial. For craziness there should be no bottom line. At Xiangmi station we had been high up. A group of yellow bees had already been one splendid landscape, so it was not beyond our expectation that the hot dance by Eve attracted security guards’ attention.

一阵躁动之后，我们开始前往目的地。步行距离比想象中要远， 三十几号人的大部队亢奋前进，说实话，到达目的地的时候，我们的内心是崩溃的。没有想象中的大舞台，只有一棵独孤大树，空气安分守己地吹不动一片叶子，可我们深圳头马就是有这种自嗨的本事，心态也是积极得可怕，大家感觉不错， 坐下来吃些零食之后，热得都不需要 warm，直接 up，于是热辣劲舞再次开始。

After quite a stir, we set out to destination. The distance was farther than our expectation, the large group of more than 30 people triumphantly moved forward. Actually when we arrived in the spot our hearts almost collapsed. There had no imaginary big stage but a big tree with quiet and static leaves. However, our SZTMers had powerful self-amusing competence and extremely positive attitude. All of us thought that was great! After sitting down to eat some snacks, because of the hot weather we were high up directly without the needless warm-up session and started the hot dancing again.

慧慧老师的舞步，看起来很酷爽，可怜学不会，经过简短教学之后，我们张牙舞爪地来了个群魔乱舞——此处求慧慧老师的心里阴影面积。 如果说劲舞是对我们的 body language 的一种考验的话，那么“海盗船长”和“数 7”两个游戏就是对我们智力的一种考验了。

Eva’s hot dance was so cool but it seemed very hard for me to learn. With her having taught us to dance a moment, we showed up together with our bare fangs and brandish claws. Hahaha, could I ask how much shaded area left in Eva’s heart? If hot dance was a test on our body language, the games “Pirate Captain” and “Counting7” were a kind of intelligence test.

Brother Eric 提议的游戏，对真心话大冒险的惩罚便是游戏的高潮。火一样的热情使我们很快忘了室外的高温，甩掉了包袱，每个人都在摩拳擦掌地绞尽脑汁地想着最大尺度的问题。有人被问及第一次接吻在何时何地与何人，有人硬是被逼迫承认自己是 gay，有人被要求当场和手机电话簿中第三个女孩打免提电话，有人被要求当场找人表白（有人温馨提醒我们对表白不可以录音，我们答应不录音，只录影），有更大尺度的男女主角更是现场约好当晚共度良宵，而有的人则是为人不成，反作舞之钢管。

The punishment, suggested by Brother Eric, to take adventure to tell truewords helped the game reach a climax. With crazy enthusiasm we nearly forgot firing-temperature outside and threw off burden, everyone tried hard to think about as most embarrassed question as possible. Someone was asked about the first kiss when, where and with whom; someone was forced to confess to be a gay; someone was required to give a hand-free call to the girl who was at the third place of his/her telephone directory on the spot; someone was requested to express love to one of us, someone kindly reminded us not to record voice then we agreed to take a video only; a couple of hero and heroine to a larger extenteven immediately dated to share the night together; moreover there was even someone who intended to make others embarrassed but backfired on himself to be obliged to act as a dancing pole.

欢乐辣么多，唯独留下的遗憾是 wenzel 的牛仔裤到活动结束时依然还穿着，而对于 brother 的三观，我们也是不停地在刷新着破的高度。对于玩耍，我们是不怕丢脸的，对于演讲，我们是更不怕丢脸的。即兴演讲的题目是 finding the best, 通过击鼓传花找搭档。主持人难道没考虑过万一哪对被选中的搭档都是相互特别讨厌、眼中的他/她可能只有缺点这个问题吗？没关系，瞎着眼睛往好里讲，就对了。

With so much more cheerful happiness, we only regretted that Wenzel had still been wearing his tight jeans till the activity ended. And we had been refreshing the altitudes of Brother Eric’s three viewpoints again and again. For playing games, we dared say we didn’t needface; for making speeches, nor did we. The impromptu speaking subject wasfinding the best for your partner drawn by passing the flower. Didn’t the master consider the case that both of partners would annoy each other and there were only defects in both of them respectively? No problem! Just to blind your eyes and to imagine the good things about him.

不过正经起来讲的话，我眼里 SZTM 的每一个会员都是 role model，都是独一无二的美。相传美人更爱臭美，几轮游戏完成之后便是拍照时间。草地上拍，小桥上拍，曲径上拍，标价 1300RMB／h 的足球场上拍。看看照片，有木有高大上的感觉？志满意得地拍完靓照后，你以为活动就结束了吗？对不起，那仅仅是上半场，真正躁动而劲爆的下半场自天黑才刚刚开始。

However, in my honest opinion, every member of SZTM are best role modelswith their unique beauty. It has been said that the more beautiful the beautyis, the more the beauty loves beauty. After several games we started to self-photograph. We took photos on grass, over a footbridge, on a road and football pitch marked RMB￥1300 per hour. Look! Won’t you yet find our photos onvery much high level? Do you think our activity would end after we had satisfactorily and contentedly taken photos? No! Absolutely not. This had been only the first half, the really stirringand crazy half did just begin in the twilight.

从室外换到户内，我们来到晚上的活动地点——堂会罗湖店。饕餮 K 歌两不误。补充能量之后的大家更是无法自控，歌霸麦霸齐上场，自由表现时间对于某些人来说简直如白驹过隙一般太短了，而我们的主持人很快就带大家进入组团比拼环节。9 组比拼，我也是见证了大家的实力，SZTM 可谓是人才济济。有唱歌可媲美张学友的，有跳舞可媲美蔡依林的，有讲段子可媲美岳云鹏的，有装扮可媲美李玉刚的，有挑战梁静茹的抒情的，也有高仿鸟叔的骑马舞的，最炫名族风当然是必点，姐姐妹妹站起来，只为抢一个男孩画面感更是强烈，各展各的风采。精彩的呈现，现场反馈当然也是异样热烈，好几个人的下巴据说已笑得脱臼。在一首朋友之歌的音乐声中结束此次 outing。

We moved from outside to indoor and then came to the night party place: Musical Box. There we could enjoy delicious foods but without missing singing. Having refilled with energy, we could hardly wait and control ourselves. The song master and microphone master scrambled to show up together. The solo time was too short like a fleeting show for us, soon our MC brought us to team singing competition. Nine teams vehemently competed and during thecourse I had evidenced their strength. I could definitely assert that SZTM wasa place crouching tigers and hidden dragons. There were talents whose songs couldbe on a par with Jack Hok Yau Cheung，dance on a par with Jolin Cai, jokes-telling with Yue Yunpeng，dressing up with Li Yugang. Andthere were someone who took Fish Leong challenge for her expressing emotion orwho took Psy (Park Jae-sang) for his Gangnam style. The Coolest Ethnic Trendwas absolutely one on the must order list. Many sisters scrambled to show offighting for one boy in the song who had stronger sense of frame. All shows hadtheir own excellence. Surely amazing shows received great laugh and applause from audience. Many members said their chin had been almost dislocated aslaughed too much.

在一首朋友之歌的音乐声中结束此次 outing。主席总结得好，无论我们走到哪里，我们都是最好的朋友，SZTM 永远是会员的家，也请记得常回家看看。

Finally the song “Friend” ended our activity. Our president Eva’s concluding remarks expressed our feelings: wherever we go, we are thebest friends, SZTM is our home forever, remember often back home.

我们每天都忙碌在各自的岗位上，我们的愉快抑或不愉快的心情，庆幸还有一个胜似家的地方可以分享。最美好的日子莫过于和一群志同道合的人奔跑在理想的道路上，回首，有一路的故事，低头，有坚定的脚步，抬头，有浩瀚的星空和诗的远方。

Every day we are busy for our jobs, sometimes we are happy but sometimes not. However, we fortunately have one place where is like our home to share our moments of truth, stories and viewpoints. One of the best things is that when you are running on the ideal journey there are friends who have similar goals and beliefs like you and accompany you all the time. When you look back there willbe stories all the way; when you look down there will be firm footsteps; whenyou look up there will be the vast universe and poems and an afar.
