When the new officers met the old ones in a coffee shop, what was gonna happen??

The answer was Countless Amazing Ideas! Two weeks ago, our club, Shenzhen Toastmaster Club, just had the election meeting for our new officers. Now, they had prepared well to provide us with fresh air in the coming term. Last Sunday, our new president Uncle Eric and our present president Michael Liu held a very interesting EXCO Meeting in Kafelaku Coffee.

Thanks to our handsome and humorous VPPR Seaborn Lee, we all experienced a new form meeting called Retrospective Meeting (“Retrospective” from Latin retrospectare, “look back”). It generally means to take a look back at events that already have taken place. We used some specific figures to respectively represent the obstacles we’re facing, the success we have made and the improvements we want achieve. Each one of us wrote down our ideas with color pens on the paper before we discussed every problem.

Our old officers, Michael, Ken, Danielle and Strong, reviewed their past feelings about SZTM and its activities. This helped them to rethink what they have done for our club, and reminded them to come up with new solutions for our trouble. Inspired by the old members, more interesting and practical thoughts and plans cooking up in our new officers’ heads.

This highly effective internal meeting is just a beginning. We will held more high quality meetings and exciting outings with our members and our guests. Shenzhen Toastmaster Club is not only the earliest one in Shenzhen, but also the warmest and best club in Shenzhen. Join our meeting, enjoy your time, you’re gonna have more and more fun!
