I am Megan, and my Chinese name is Luo hongye since I was born in late autumn，a beautiful season filled with maple leaves🍁. My tonight’s topic is about my three trips to Shenzhen.

来来来，认识下我们的新家人 Megan！👏👏💗🌹

First Trip

I remembered that the first time I came to Shenzhen is in 2015, I had failed in the National College Entrance Examination due to puppy love over that year. Therefore with my brother’s invitation, I came to Shenzhen to think about how should I do in the future. In order to help me to get rid of the pain of failure in study and love, my brother took me to climb the Wutong mountain. That made me even sadder, because I had never conquered a mountain before. My brother single-handedly carried all our food and water on his back and looked for a suitable stick as my crutch. He encouraged me to never give up and keep going on even I was exhausted half way. I was inspired as I stared at my bother’s forward back. At that moment, I regarded him as my superhero who encourage and inspire to ignite the fire within me.

When we arrived at the top of Wutong mountain, I was able to receive an internet signal from Hong Kong. Up there, I had a magnificent view of all the buildings, rivers, cars and people. My whole body is full of strength again.

Second Trip

Afterwards, I decided to try my luck again on the National College Entrance Examination. Fortunately for me, I passed and decided to come to Shenzhen again in 2019. I tried two different types of internship job as a senior college student last year, one is as a stock broker, I was overtaken by fantasy that I would be “the Wolf of Wall Street” like Jordan Belfort, However, as I look at myself now, I realize that it was all a daydream. I took another internship job is as a sales assistant in a foreign trade company. This job influenced me a lot, it taught me how critical it is for me to use English proficiently in this field of work. It taught me I had to see a bigger world and meet more different and interesting people, I need to be a man with open mind and great English proficiency. Therefore, I kept my mind to sharpen my English edge and chosen a job related with English closely in an international logistics corporation.

Third Trip

This year, I came to Shenzhen again, but I am not alone at this time because I have my own job, my colleges, friends and Toastermaster’s family. However, I am a still single man, so I wanna put up an advertisement for myself looking for a boyfriend. You may not know, when I was in college, I had a part-time job as a weeding host. I have seen over 50 new couples get married before. Of course, I enjoy my hosting job since I get happiness and money from it. However, I found more and more excellent men have got married, or about to get married, even have babies. There will not be golden single men if I don’t advertise myself now. So come here to speak my mind loudly. Don’t worry, I have no critical criteria in choosing a mate apart from one condition, that is he must be positive and progressive. It is a priority if he is our toastermaster’s member. It is the best if he is our shenzhen toastermaster’s member. So, come to join us and find your love. I am Megan, thank you for your listening!
